Terms, limits and intent

Purpose

ObserviSec exists for education and research. It aggregates information that is already public and already broadcast in the clear. It is not a navigation aid, not a safety system, and not a source anyone should act on operationally.

Limits we hold to

Only publicly broadcast or openly released data is displayed. No attempt is made to access, decrypt or reconstruct information an operator has chosen not to publish. No feature on this site is designed to support real-time tracking of a specific aircraft, person or unit, and requests to build one will be declined.

Accuracy

The data is provided as received, without warranty of any kind. It is incomplete, delayed and sometimes wrong. Positions come from third-party volunteer receivers whose coverage and uptime we do not control.

Privacy

This site sets no cookies, runs no advertising, and loads no third-party scripts or fonts. Nothing about your visit is recorded beyond standard web server logs.

Attribution

Aircraft data is served by community aggregators under their terms of use. Orbital element sets come from Celestrak. Country outlines are Natural Earth, public domain. Requests to these upstream sources are rate limited and cached so that this site does not burden infrastructure that volunteers pay for.
